Description

Developed under Kamehameha Schools “Block C” plan, Kahuina is the latest high-rise, mixed-use condominium to be developed in Honolulu’s Kakaʻako neighborhood. Comprised of two towers, Lāmakū and Māmalu, both buildings encompass a total of 861-units with 396 units dedicated to workforce and affordable housing. Below the towers, businesses will occupy 35,000 square feet of commercial space.

The name Kahuina, meaning “crossroads” in Hawaiian, reflects the project’s vision of fostering opportunity and connection for Hawaiʻi’s local community. The development emphasizes openness and livability through thoughtfully planned unit layouts and shared spaces that support multi-generational living. Each residence features generous glazing and sliding glass doors that open to private lanais, maximizing natural ventilation, daylight, and views toward the Pacific Ocean.

Situated within a rapidly evolving urban district, Kahuina contributes to the continued growth of Kakaʻako as a mixed-use, transit-oriented neighborhood while reinforcing principles of climate-responsive design and community focused housing.
